We're excited to bring Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong to Boise! This comedic documentary follows a team of wastewater professionals fighting to keep their aging treatment facility running, spotlighting an urgent national issue facing water renewal plants everywhere.
Fifty years after the Clean Water Act drastically changed how we treat used water, once-modern water renewal facilities are reaching the end of their intended lifespans. Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong documents the day-to-day operations of Portland Water District's East End Treatment Plant over the course of a year, capturing the challenges, triumphs, and relentless dedication that keeps this essential infrastructure operating 24/7. The film shines a long-overdue light on the people who keep everything flowing - work most of us never notice unless something goes terribly wrong.
Join us for a screening at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise on June 3 at 6:30 p.m. The 75-minute film will be followed by a Q&A with local industry professionals.
