What do Californian bears, Mexican wolves, and Cuban crocodiles have in common? All are recently extinct animals in the Americas, and all have nuanced stories that can help animals in trouble today. Join professor Emily Wakild to explore these stories. Dr. Wakild is a historian whose book, Revolutionary Parks: Conservation, Social Justice, and Mexico's National Parks received numerous accolades, including the Charles A. Weyerhauser award for best book in forest and conservation history. Afterwards, our resident artist will guide you in making your own wild-inspired art.

Please note: The location for this workshop will be at Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center due to the closure of the WaterShed for remodeling.
