WaterShed Studio: Boise River Renewal: From Landfill to Local Treasure

At Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center, 3188 N. Sunset Peak Road, Boise

6:00 – 9:30 pm

What is your favorite memory of the Boise River? Whether it is tubing through town on a hot summer's day, or enjoying the sights and sounds of the water while walking the Greenbelt, the Boise River holds a special meaning for each of us.

Join Maureen Lavelle from the City of Boise Department of Arts and History to discover the untold story of the Boise River, and its vital role in shaping the city and landscape we know today. Today's treasured resource was not always so! Explore the long and difficult effort to clean up the river and discuss the meaning of stewardship, and how we pass these values on to future generations. After the presentation, create a unique piece of art with our local artist.

Registration and $15 workshop fee required; Register at https://parks.cityofboise.org/register-for-classes/ or call (208)608-7680. ACTIVITY#: 425006-04
