Water Renewal Tours

Join us the second Tuesday and second Saturday of each month for a FREE tour of the West Boise Water Renewal Facility. This 60-minute walking tour will give you a behind-the-scenes view of what happens when you flush! Learn about how the City of Boise is renewing your used water, recovering valuable resources, and ultimately protecting the health of the Boise River. Closed-toe shoes required, ages 5 and up. Pre-registration required using the Eventbrite link on the event calendar.

Please Note: Water Renewal Tours will be suspended from December 2025 – December 2026 due to multiple construction projects that impact tour safety. We appreciate your patience while we work to meet Boise's growing water renewal needs. Several educational resources are available on our webpage, including a process overview handout, presentation slide desk and video tour.

Book Club

Reading Wildly is a free, community-focused book club that explores climate and sustainability through engaging reads and meaningful conversation. Each book selection is paired with an optional hands-on experience to bring the themes to life through our Exploring Wildly program. We meet at rotating city and community locations, offering a fresh setting and new perspectives each time. Whether you're a lifelong environmentalist or just curious to learn more, Reading Wildly is a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and take action together.

Educator Workshops

Workshops are offered year-round for formal and informal educators and homeschool parents. The WaterShed is a host institution for Project WET and offers a variety of water and climate workshops.
